BVU’s GIVE Program will present its next “Do Something” event on November 11, at the Living Classrooms’ Maritime Museum in Baltimore. The topic will be health care.
BVU’s Do Something Program is designed to provide opportunities for professionals to learn about current social issues in our community and develop ways to “do something" to make a difference.
The keynote speaker for the November 11 event is Dr. Michael Chris Gibbons, head of the Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute and author of the book eHealth Solutions for Healthcare Disparities.
During the event’s "speed volunteering," attendees will meet with several nonprofit organizations to discover the perfect volunteer opportunity for them.
This is a free event and complimentary appetizers and cocktails are provided. To learn more, or to register, visit www.bvumaryland.org or contact Rachel Shuster at 410.366.6030, Ext. 217.
